| Shared fault | Recover if less than 50% at fault, reduced by your share |
| Minimum insurance | $25,000 / $50,000 bodily injury; $25,000 property |
| Government vehicle notice | As short as 6 months (city) or 12 months (county, state) |
| Seat belts | Not wearing one generally can’t be used to reduce your damages |

“At-fault” state
Georgia is an at-fault state: the driver who caused the crash, and their insurer, is responsible for the harm.
